Valentine’s Day for me always includes some delicious baked goodies! This year, I wanted to try something a little different and thought, why not make my own Valentine Candy? To add to the awesome, the Bulk Barn just opened up on my side of town and I can actually walk to it! I was so excited and a little worried that I may be there more than a few times a week. {hehe}
I went looking for some baking necessities and ended up coming up with my newest yummy creation, Valentine Cupcake Candy Surprise. Best of all, they were super easy to make and my children went crazy for them!
Valentine Candy ~ Cupcake Surprise
You will need:
Candy Melts {I used Wilton in 2 flavours}
Cupcake Candy Mold
Valentine Candy for the “surprise inside”
To start, I put the desired amount of candy melts into disposable plastic decorating bags. I then microwaved the melts until they were melted. If you don’t have decorating bags, you can easily use a sandwich bag as well. I cut a tip at the end of the bag and squeezed the melts into the candy mold. Each mold has a fill line, so it makes it pretty clear cut.
I simply cooled the candy in the mold in the fridge for several minutes and popped it in the freezer for 2 minutes prior to removing. I used a peeler to smooth the edges of the chocolate and filled with some fun Valentine Hearts!
This was without a doubt one of the easiest homemade candy recipes I have ever had the pleasure of making. After all, who doesn’t love an adorable cupcake candy surprise?
