Best Ever Apple Crisp

Of all the seasons, my favourite has always been Fall. It is a time when the weather is absolutely perfect. It is not cold nor hot, but just the right in-between. Living in Canada, however, means that fall isn’t quite as weather serene as I remember when I was a child.

However, spending a day indoors during Fall can be just as magical. I can normally be found putting up Halloween decorations and baking up a storm. Apples are always my baking fruit of choice and my Best Ever Apple Crisp doesn’t disappoint!

Best Ever Apple Crisp

You will need:

~ 6-8 Large Apples {Cubed}

~ 1 Cup of Sugar

~ 3/4 Cup White Flour

~ 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar

~ 5 Tablespoons Butter {or Margarine}

~ 2 teaspoons Vinegar

~ 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

~ 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Heat oven to 375 Degrees Fahrenheit.

In a large bowl, mix vinegar, cinnamon and sugar. Once combined, add the apples.

Place, in a greased baking pan, the apple mixture.

In a clean bowl, mix salt, butter, flour and brown sugar. Pour mixture over apples. Bake for 50-55 minutes.

    I love apple crisp and it is an awesome recipe. I like to use apples from the neighbor’s tree each year to make this.

    I love apple crisp! But I’ve never used vinegar in my recipe. It’ll be interesting to try your recipe and see how different it tastes from mine.

    I love apple crisp. I buy the reduced apples and have a mixture and it’s amazing. Add a little bit of clove and it’s to die for.
