Best Ever Butterscotch Blondies

Trying something new in the kitchen is always an adventure. For me, that often means baking a new dessert. On a recent baking trip, I ended up purchasing butterscotch chips. I don’t recall ever using butterscotch chips in a recipe, but I decided it was time that I gave it a try.

Thankfully, the package featured a butterscotch blondies recipe that resulted in what I would say to be the best ever butterscotch blondies. The whole batch didn’t even last a day in my kitchen. Between myself, my husband and the kids, those best ever butterscotch blondies went like hot cakes!

Best Ever Butterscotch Blondies

You will need:

3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups butterscotch chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 11 x 7 pan.

Mix together brown sugar, vanilla and butter. Add in egg and mix until combined. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Pour in 1 and 1/2 cups butterscotch chips.

Press dough evenly into greased pan and top wit

h additional butterscotch chips.

Cook for 20 minutes!

Butterscotch is one of my favorite flavors in cookies and desserts. These look like they would be great with coffee.

These would suit my son down to a T, he’s a big butterscotch fan. I’ve never used the butterscotch chips but I think it might well be time to try them out with such a great recipe. 🙂
