There is just something about cupcakes that always puts a smile on my face. I am not quite sure if it is the moist texture or the abundance of delicious frosting, but you can never go wrong with a cupcake.
Since I am a huge fan of Reese Spread, I decided to make Chocolate Cupcakes with Reese Spread Frosting. I can’t even emphasis how absolutely delicious these cupcakes turned out to be!
Chocolate Cupcakes with Reese Spread Frosting
For this recipe, I went with cupcakes from a boxed mix. It saved me a huge amount of time and allowed me to focus on what mattered most, the delicious frosting!
You will need:
Chocolate Cupcakes (boxed or homemade)
1 cup Reese Spread
1 cup icing sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Mini Reese’s Pieces for topping
For the frosting, I wanted the Reese Spread to really shine. It came out creamy, yet melts in your mouth!
In a large bowl, cream together the shortening and Reese Spread. Next, add in the vanilla and icing sugar. Finally, add in the milk. You can add an extra tablespoon or 2 if necessary!
I topped off these delicious cupcakes with Mini Reese’s Pieces. I dare you not to fall madly in love with them!
