Chocolate Popcorn
One of the more recent fun activities we have been doing with the children is weekend campouts in the living room. This means that after dinner on either Friday or Saturday night, we bring up blankets and pillows to make beds in the living room. We then pick a favourite family-friendly movie to enjoy.
Finally, we munch on popcorn and goodies while we watch the movie. My children absolutely love it and they get to stay up late, so they feel extra special!
One weekend, I didn’t want to run to the store for goodies after dark, so I threw some Chipits in with the popcorn. The popcorn was still hot, so it ended up melting. However, it was absolutely delicious and chocolate popcorn was born! I was surprised I hadn’t thought of this super simple idea before, but so glad I came upon it.
Melt about half a cup of chocolate and drizzle over your favourite popcorn! It is as simple as that! I personally use butter popcorn because it gives that sweet & salty taste that I really love! Keep in mind that this does get a little messy, so have a napkin on hand while you enjoy it.
A fun twist on this would be melting your favourite candy bar or white chocolate to drizzle on the popcorn. At the very least, the taste testing process would be awesome!

It’s a real bummer that I don’t like popcorn! I do love chocolate though so maybe I’ll just leave out the popcorn 🙂

Haha … You don’t like popcorn? What is it about it that you don’t like? My least favourite aspect is getting it stuck in my teeth. However, just eating chocolate is a pretty good way to go as well!
