Most of us can get apples year-round at our local grocer. It is one of those fruits that are so versatile in regards to what can be made out of them as well. I find myself making apple dishes at least twice a month.
Recently, when I was craving a pie, I decided to try something new. Thus, my Easy Apple Crumble Pie was born. I found the perfect recipe and it was made even better because I had all the ingredients in the kitchen!
Easy Apple Crumble Pie

Easy Apple Crumble Pie
A delicious apple pie with a bit of spunk!
Ingredients
- 1 pie shell
- 6 apples cubed
- 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 tbsp additional flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
Instructions

You will need to have a pie crust ready to fill. Preheat oven to 375 Degrees Fahrenheit.

In a large bowl, place cubed apples. Add lemon juice and mix.

In another bowl, mix together sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, nutmeg and cinnamon.

Pour mixture over apples and stir until apples are coated.

Pour apple mixture into pie shell.

In a bowl, mix brown sugar and 1/2 cup flour. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.

Pour mixture over apple mixture. Cover loosely with aluminum foil.

Bake pie for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 25 until golden brown and bubbly!
