When we get a chance to visit a movie theatre, my children always go nuts for the candy and popcorn. After buying tickets for the whole family, then adding in snacks, the final bill is usually pretty crazy. However, we don’t live near a movie theatre so we don’t have that option most of the time. Thankfully, most movie nights are spent at home.
To get that movie theatre feel, you can create this Easy DIY Popcorn Bar. You get all the awesome popcorn and candy choices, but save a ton of money! This is also perfect for a sleepover or birthday party!
There are only three elements to a popcorn bar: popcorn, popcorn seasonings and candy. Choose your favourite popcorn brand for your popcorn base. There are quite a few seasoning options at your local grocer. My kids prefer white cheddar, salt & vinegar and nacho.
For candy, my first choice is always something from Reese. My kids are also huge fans of M&Ms, sour gummies, etc. Just go with a couple choices and your popcorn bar will be golden!
Now that you have the Easy DIY Popcorn Bar created, it is time to pick your movie. Whether you go with a DVD, TV show, or Netflix, there are always some family friendly choices to enjoy together!
