Pizza is one meal choice that my whole family appreciates. Whether it be just cheese for the kids, or more elaborate toppings my husband chooses, there is always something for each of us.

You would think after all the years of making pizza, I would have tried a homemade version. However, I hadn’t and it wasn’t until last year that I started making my own! This easy homemade pizza is not only delicious, but ridiculously easy to make!

Easy Homemade Pizza

For the crust:
2 1/2 c. flour
2 3/4 tsp. baking powder (if using baking soda use half and omit salt)
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. oil
3/4 to 1 c. water

Additional Ingredients: cheese of choice, pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce and  toppings of  choice

Preheat your oven to 400°F.

Mix dry ingredients, then add 3/4 cup water and oil. Stir until it forms a ball. If dough is too stiff, add more water. Knead on a floured surface for 3-4 minutes, then roll out.

Spread sauce over dough surface. Top with cheese and toppings of choice!

Bake for 15-25 minutes.Easy Homemade Pizza Pic 2

this crust sounds so much easier to make than mine. Mine needs a huge amount of encouragement to spread out and I end up with aching hands and arms. I’ll definitely be trying this crust out 🙂

I always thought you had to use yeast to make pizza dough which seems intimidating and time consuming. This looks so much easier.

I used to make pizza when my children lived at home. I always found spreading the dough very difficult as it was so springy and just shrank back to the position it was in before. It was a tough between me and the pizza dough and there were some bruised knuckles afterwards 🙂
