Family Travel in Saint Andrews by the Sea – New Brunswick

Out of all the destinations I visited, St. Andrews by the Sea was where I absolutely loved the most. Everything was wonderful along the way, but something about this whimsical and charming place just stood out to me. I could easily imagine myself living in a destination like this one! Family travel in Saint Andrews by the Sea is a must in my book!

Our fun began at the Fundy Discovery Aquarium. We quickly made our way downstairs upon arrival in just enough time to witness them feeding seahorses! I had never seen a seahorse feeding session before and the kids especially loved it.

They had several areas for the kids to really shine including a play area as well as viewing pools. I missed seeing the sea lions being fed, but was far too busy checking out everything else to feel like I missed out on anything. My youngest was especially excited to get to actually touch things in the viewing pools!

After the aquarium, it was lunch time so we made our way into town to check out some local eats! The town is so picturesque that I couldn’t help but take a ton of photos. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the sunshine was amazing.Saint Andrews by the Sea 2

We eventually ended up in a local cafe where we enjoyed sandwiches. My husband had to snag a lobster roll, which he inhaled. It was packed with delicious lobster meat and I think he could easily eat one of those daily if he was able to! I am more of a conservative turkey sandwich kinda of gal and the turkey sandwich I enjoyed was awesome!Saint Andrews by the Sea 3

The next stop was Kingsbrae Garden. I have to admit this was one attraction I was looking forward to. I absolutely love a gorgeous garden and had read about it prior to our visit, so I knew they had cats on the grounds! Yes, CATS!

Unfortunately, as much as I looked, I never got to snuggle one of the resident kitties. It was a hot day and I am sure they were napping in a cool, shady place! Regardless, the gardens were breathtaking.

We were given a fabulous tour and the kids stayed engaged, which we all appreciated! A few of the popular areas were being mowed, so we missed those, but did get to visit their petting zoo! Saint Andrews by the Sea 4

After a day full of adventures, we went back to where we were staying the next couple days, the Algonquin Resort! I have to tell you that just seeing this place took my breath away. The resort is amazing and the history involved just blew my mind. I could have easily spent the whole week just at this resort. We were made to feel so welcome and the decor was top notch!

The next morning, which was our final full day in New Brunswick, was spent on the Jolly Breeze Tall Ship. Since my youngest is only 2, I stayed behind at the resort while my husband took our two older kids on the whale watching adventure. They enjoyed breakfast, pirate costumes and even saw whales! The remainder of the day was spent taking photos, enjoying the weather and preparing for the journey home!Saint Andrews by the Sea 5
