This summer, I was fortunate enough to be in my best friend’s wedding. We live so far apart, but I wouldn’t have missed it for anything. She lives 10 hours away from me, so you can imagine how excited I was about the drive.
We were going to be there for a few days, so I wanted to book a hotel prior to our departure. We eventually decided on the Holiday Inn Express. It was located within 5 minutes of the city centre and perfect for traveling with a toddler!
After a 10+ hour drive, we were beyond thankful to finally check in. The process was quick, painless and we were up to our room in no time at all. My son was so happy to be out of his car seat and took a couple minutes to enjoy the comfortable and pillow-tastic queen bed.
Not only was our room spacious and clean, but we also had a fabulous balcony with a view!
Usually when I get a room, I expect to look out onto a parking lot, etc. However, I was so pleasantly surprised and couldn’t have asked for a better view! My son loved running around in the room and looking out the window!
One of the very best aspects to staying at a Holiday Inn Express is the breakfast! Being able to just walk downstairs and choose from a wide variety of delicious breakfast options is my kind of vacation!
The choices ranged from my personal favourite, biscuits & gravy, to muffins, fruit, cereal, scrambled eggs, cinnamon rolls and more! Plus, they have a coffee/tea station, so I got to enjoy tea throughout my stay!
One of the extra-fabulous additions to the hotel is their Bengal Mart! I checked it out on our first night there and snagged some Oreo cookies for a late-night snack.
The prices were awesome and they have the widest variety of choices I have ever seen in a hotel setting. It is also perfect for when you have a toddler who needs a little snack between meals!
My experience was fabulous and the next time we make it down to Pocatello, I know exactly where we will be staying!
