When it comes to time, I seem to have less and less of it each day. So anything that makes my daily tasks easier is a life-saver in my book! Since email is one of the things I get the pleasure of doing everyday {whether I like it or not}, I wanted to create a few easy templates that I could use to save a ton of time. My tips on How to Create an Email Template for Gmail will save you value time daily!
So if you want to save a ton of time and use Gmail, then let’s begin!
1. From your Gmail account, hover over the tools icon {looks like a flower or bumpy bolt} and click on Settings.
2. From Settings, scroll over to Labs.
3. In Labs, go down to Canned Responses and Click Enable.
4. Then click back to your inbox and “Compose” a message.
5. At this point, you need to basically type the “template” email you want. Once you have it looking great with your content and signature, hover over Canned Responses {sits below the Subject Line in blue} and click on New Canned Response.
6. It will ask you to title your new response, which I recommend you do with something to the point and obvious. For example, if you are sending out a PR pitch email, then title it PR Pitch.
7. Once you have the title you want, click Ok.
8. Now, anytime you want to use that “template”, just click on Canned Response and insert the one you want!!!
Beyond easy and it will save you tons of time!!!

I was pretty excited when I figured this out! It’s great for pitching to companies, especially for blog hops when I’ll be staying basically the same thing over and over.
This is definitely a helpful tip Gmail bloggers should know about.

This is really cool! I don’t send out PR pitches or anything but sometimes I find I’m sending very similar emails to a lot of people so maybe this could save me some time! Thanks! 🙂
