Make Your Own Dog Ice Cream

Meet Forrest. He is a true doggie gentleman and owned by a close friend of mine. I had been wanting to do something special for him for some time now. I decided to go the recipe route, since that is something I love to do. Being summertime, dog ice cream was a natural fit.

With only 3 ingredients, you can make your own dog ice cream for the favourite pooch in your life.

Dog Ice Cream 1

Make Your Own Dog Ice Cream

You will need:
2 bananas
3 cups plain yogurt
1/2 cup peanut butter

Dog Ice Cream 2

Blend together ingredients. I used my KitchenAid mixer and it made for a fast and painless recipe.

Pour mixture into bowls and freeze.

Dog Ice Cream 3

Once frozen, I found the best way to serve this dog ice cream is by cutting it up into cubes. The recipe was Forrest approved and I was so happy he loved it.

Yes he did love it. As a dog owner who is particular about his sensitive stomach I will report that not only did he love it but he digested it just fine as well. Thanks Kristen for thinking of him even though we know you like his cats the most.😀❤️

My parents make their own dog food, pretty sure they’ve never even thought of doing an ice cream…..must pass this on!

One of our dogs as kids loved ice cream. I never tried giving it to my labs as I was worried about what was in it. But making it myself knowing what is in it makes me feel better. I bet my boys would love this as a treat!
