Summer weather is in full swing here. My kids have been going to the pool often and hard to believe summer is on its way out in a few weeks! As I very rarely drink, I have never included an alcohol recipe on my blog until now! These Malibu and Sprite Boozy Popsicles are perfect for adults to enjoy during the summer!

Obviously these boozy popsicles contain alcohol. Keep in mind that if you aren’t a drinker or want to create something child-friendly consider adding chunks of fruit instead.

If you love the boozy aspect, you can even go with a different type of your favourite alcohol. A flavoured alcohol gives that extra bite to the popsicle, which is great on a hot day!

The best part of these popsicles are they are only 3 ingredients. You will want to have a good popsicle mold to start with. If you want to make these and don’t have a mold, you can consider using an ice cube tray.

You could add popsicle sticks into the ice cube tray and go with that. It isn’t as visually appealing, but will still taste great!

I love the taste of Sprite, but keep in mind that you can use a store-brand of lemon lime. Depending on the alcohol you use, you can really change these up.

Rum and coke popsicles are another idea that would be fun for a hot summer day. We rarely entertain, but these are also a great idea for a garden party or get-together!

The best way to make these popsicles is to prepare them the day before you want to enjoy them. That way they are perfectly frozen!

The popsicles molds for this recipe has pineapples on them, which is a fun look! I am obviously very partial to the pink colour as that is my very favourite!

Malibu and Sprite Boozy Popsicles

These cold treats are made fabulous with Malibu Rum and Sprite!

Ingredients

  • Malibu Rum
  • Sprite
  • Lime Juice Fresh

Instructions

  1. Take your popsicle mold apart by removing the popsicle sticks. Fill each section of the mold with a quarter of Malibu Rum.

  2. Grab your bottle of Sprite and top each section of the mold off. To make your Malibu Run Popsicles extra tropical, take a lime and squeeze a little bit of fresh lime juice into each section.

  3. Take the popsicle sticks and place them back into the mold. Once you have your mold back together, place your popsicles in the freezer for several hours.

  4. 6. Once your popsicles are frozen solid, rinse your mold off with a little bit of hot water. This will loosen the popsicles just enough to slide right out of the mold without breaking. Serve & Enjoy!
