Easter Nests

With Easter a little over a month away, I am already brainstorming ideas for recipes, crafts and what to get the kids in their Easter baskets. However, there could never been enough hours in the day for me to get around to everything. Being a mom means accepting the fact that there will be days when the house isn’t perfect and a quick recipe for dinner wins out.Easter Nests Recipe

No Bake Easter Nests

One of the newest dessert-style favourites is no bake. Why spend a ridiculous amount of time that you don’t have to begin with baking, when you can do a no bake favourite in less than 10 minutes!

Hence, my No Bake Easter Nests were born. They are not only eye-catching, but delicious. Plus, this is a perfect recipe to make with the kids!

No Bake Easter Nests

You will need:

  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups chow mein noodles

Instructions

In a medium sized saucepan on the stove, melt the chips over low heat. Stir often.

Once they are completely melted, remove from heat. Stir in the chow mein noodles until completely covered by the chocolate mixture.

Lay a piece of wax paper on the counter top. Drop heaping tablespoons of chocolate mixture onto the wax paper. With the backs of two spoons, create a small well in the center of each chocolate dropping. It should be about ¼ to ½ inch deep.

Place candy eggs or Peeps in the center of each chocolate nest. Let harden for at least one hour. This recipe makes 6 large nests.
