Potty Training Necessities

At some point, every child reaches the potty training milestone. It allows children a little more independence and parents can take a break from diaper changes. While each child is different in regards to when they are ready to potty train, it usually happens around age 3.

For me, my youngest is currently potty training. Some days are better than others, but progress is being made. Check out these potty training necessities that every parent should have to make potty training all that much better for their child.

Potty Chair – Choosing the right potty chair for your child is a must. You will usually find a selection at your local retailer. It is always nice to have one that is geared toward your child’s preferences, such as a different theme for boys/girls, plays music when it flushes, etc. My son’s favourite potty is Fisher Price!

Pull-Ups® Training Pants and Pull-Ups® Flushable Wipes – I can’t even imagine potty training without Pull-Ups® products. My son absolutely loves the fact he can put on his very own “big boy undies.” He loves the Disney designs as well. Plus, the flushable wipes are fantastic for potty time and making sure he gets that fresh bum feel! They also are fantastic for taking in the car!

The Potty Book – Nothing says potty, like The Potty Book. They have books geared to either boys and girls and are perfect for reinforcing the importance of potty time!

Potty Time Stuffy – You can never go wrong with a stuffy. It is great for your child to have a friend for potty breaks, or to give as a reward for reaching potty milestones!

Milestone chart – Kids love to see progress visually. It helps remind your child how far they have come as well as how close they are to reaching their goal. You can use stickers to mark progress and reward your child they get closer to their goal!
