While I don’t make New Years resolutions, I did decide that this year was going to be about me getting healthier. For me this meant starting the Beachbody 21 Day Fix program. What I love about it is that it means I have to make healthier food choices, workout once a day for 30 minutes and drink a yummy shake.
One of the ways I am keeping myself on track is by finding ways to enjoy yummy favourites by making them healthier without all the added calories. My recent favourite creation is Sauteed Apples.
Sauteed Apples
You Will Need:
5 apples, sliced
2 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
2.5 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
In a large pan, heat butter on medium heat until melted. Add in lemon juice and orange juice. Once mixed, add apples.
Stir apples frequently for about 7 minutes.
Dissolve cornstarch in water and add to apples.
Stir in cinnamon and brown sugar.
Stir mixture for about 3 minutes and done!

Yum! I love recipes that included cooked apples. Add cinnamon and it is a winner in my books. I will try this recipe.
