How to Show Your Cat Love

I love my cats. They bring me such happiness throughout each and everyday that it is only natural for me to want to give them the very best life possible. After all, they ask so very little in return.

I often find that I am so busy with my children during the day that I don’t get to spend the quality time with each of my cats that I would like to. Yet, I do my best to show them all my love. With Valentine’s Day, what better time to take a minute and focus on how to show your cat love!

How to Show Your Cat Love

Give them your attention
When we break it down, there is nothing quite as wonderful to your cat as your time. Whether snuggling in bed, watching tv on the couch, or simply relaxing in your favourite chair after a long day, your cat appreciates the simple moments together.

Playtime
Even though it may seem like your cat is always napping, he needs to be engaged daily. It is not only good for their mind, but their body. This can include interactive toys, cat furniture, climbing areas and best of all, activities with you. No matter your cat’s age, there is a perfect activity for the two of you to share. From feather toys to fishing poles, playtime definitely spreads the love!  How to Show Your Cat Love

Treats
Every cat is different, but all of them have their favourite extra special treats. You can find delicious nibbles your kitty will love at your local grocery store, or you can even bake them at home! Either way, it is a simple reminder that they are loved and your cat will thank you for it!

Clean the litter box regularly
Cats use the litter box many times throughout the day. It is important to have at least one litter box per cat. These can come in countless sizes, shapes and covered or uncovered. It should be as accessible as possible and maintained.

I am a widow and I Love Love Love my cats! They are spoiled rotten. I just lost my cat of 20 years last week and I will never get over it. I show my cats my love in every way possible. That includes clean litter boxes always. Food ready when they want it. Clean water all the time and attention, attention, which they love! They all have their spot on the bed or on my body. I could go on forever about my beloved cats. They keep me happy and sane. Also I rescue and foster.

I am so truly sorry to hear that Evelyn. You were so very blessed to have 20 beautiful years together. I know how much it hurts and how they will touch your heart for a lifetime. Cats go to Heaven, as do all animals. You will one day snuggle that sweet ball of fur again! Bless you for your love of cats and your commitment to them!
