Simple Autumn Tablescape

Today is officially the first day of fall. The leaves in my backyard are already turning gorgeous shades and falling to the ground. For me, there has never been any season more perfect for me than fall. It marks the time when the holidays are coming and the weather starts to get colder. Plus, I get to break out my awesome sweaters and socks, which means comfy clothing in my future!

Even though all the fall changes are happening outdoors, I love the idea of bringing a touch of fall into my home. It is with this idea that I created my Simple Autumn Tablescape. I have kids and cats, which means that the safest things in my home are the least breakable. With this in mind, I wanted to create a tablescape that was fall-inspired, but also family friendly!

The first thing I did when brainstorming my tablescape was to focus on Autumn colours. You can never go wrong with the beautiful oranges, greens, browns, etc. that fall is known for. Plus, the colours definitely pop when put together.

I wanted durable choices since I have kids and I loved the way the round placemats came together with my gorgeously round table. I purchased my table several months ago after moving into our new home.

For the center of my table, I found this adorable owl that just screamed fall to me. It is the perfect addition to my tablescape. It is also a cookie jar, which means that after the meal is complete you can enjoy dessert! I may have a slight sweet tooth!

To finish off the look, I made each napkin into an adorable bow. When it comes to presentation, I always enjoy a cute little extra that is simple and fun. I used elastics to create the look and I hope my Simple Autumn Tablescape inspires you to make something gorgeous of your own!
