I am a tea lover. It is one of those things that I enjoy any time of the day, every day! This also means that I am very fond of enjoying desserts that compliment my tea! There is nothing that I can think of that goes as well with tea than delicious scones!
They are perfectly paired and always put a smile on my face. Since strawberries were the ingredient of choice this week for the #FridayRecipeClub, I made Strawberry Petite Scones.
Not only are they perfectly enjoyed with tea, but they are great for breakfast! The petite size also makes them great for little hands to grasp and make a delicately light treat anytime!
Strawberry Petite Scones
You will need:
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, chilled and unsalted
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup strawberries
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and butter. Next, add in the milk and strawberries.
Divide batter into palm-sized balls. Flatten on well-floured surface until about 1 and 1/2 inch thick. Cut in half and divide each half into thirds. Cook for 15 minutes.

Oooo these look delicious! My besty is coming over tomorrow, and I am wanting to start making good tea goodies for us. We are writing a story together and have the tea kettle screaming all day long while we’re creating. It’s so about time I start adding scones and breads and goodies with our hangouts! I think the only thing different I’m going to do is add a touch of vanilla extract :3
Kristen says
a touch of vanilla would be a fabulous edition Ember!

I’m a coffee girl myself. I love scones and these look delicious. They remind me of high tea in England where (in the south) you would get a buttered scone, homemade strawberry jam, and thick clotted cream – absolutely scrumptious!

Will definitely be trying this recipe out over the holidays
