My cats love their cat treats. The moment they hear that familiar sound of cat treats hitting the hardwood floor, they all come running. As you can imagine, 11 cats racing for treats at the same time is pretty entertaining!
My most recent homemade cat treat recipe turned out as Toulouse’s Tasty Cat Treats. My kitties absolutely loved them and so will yours!
TOULOUSE’S TASTY CAT TREATS
What I love most about the ingredient list is that it only takes 4 ingredients that most of us already have on-hand in our kitchens to make these delicious kitty treats!
You Will Need:
3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup cornmeal
To start, you will need to preheat your oven. Set to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a bowl, mix together all ingredients. Make dough into a ball. You will then want to roll them out onto parchment paper or a floured surface.
After rolling out the treats, you will want to cut them into kitty treat size.
You can either go with a cat treat cutter if you have one, or simply use a pizza cutter.
Place the treats on a greased cookie sheet. I personally use parchment paper because it makes for easy cleanup.
You will want to space out the treats and bake them for 15 minutes.
Once removed from the oven, cool the treats to room temperature before serving to your cat.
These can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

I am stunned. In my many, many years of being a cat parent I have never heard of a cat named Talouse. We adopted 4 cats from a rescue about 3 years ago and one of the girls was already named Talouse. I thought it odd as Talouse Lautrec was a famous artist in France many years ago. He was a male so my Talouse is a female but oh well! Now you have a Tolouse. One letter off but still interesting. Oh by the way she loved this recipe. Thanks.
