When it comes to learning new facts, I don’t think it could ever get old. My kids have always enjoyed books with fun facts that most of us don’t even realize.
Thankfully, we got the chance to check out Weird But True! Canada and it did not disappoint! Even though we live in Canada, we only knew a handful of the facts found in this book!
Weird But True! Canada
Since we live in Alberta, it was especially fun to pick out the facts about our province. The book even mentioned the largest dinosaur statue, which is one we have visited. After all, what kid doesn’t want to climb inside the mouth of a dinosaur?
The best part is that my kids can now wow their friends with all these cool and little known facts! Weird But True! Canada is also the only country-specific book in the Weird But True! book series! The book contains awesome photos to go along with the fun facts, so you can’t go wrong!
The original Weird But True! book series is also celebrating their 10th anniversary! To add to the awesome of that, the original 1–10 books in the series have been updated with snazzy new covers and additional facts for readers new and old!
You can snag the books at National Geographic Kids! My kids and I especially enjoyed Weird But True! Christmas. There were so many Christmas facts we had never heard and being knowledgeable about Christmas is something that every child can appreciate!
Weird But True! Canada Contest
Kids ages 6–14 are invited to enter the Weird But True! Canada contest to submit their own verifiable weird facts about their hometown, province, or country at natgeokids.com/wbtcanada through January 31, 2019.
