Eggnog French Toast

One of my Dad’s very favourite things about Christmas was always the delicious eggnog. I can remember going to the grocery store and getting very excited because eggnog was in stock! It was a Christmas time staple in our home. Though the years have past, I still get just as excited for eggnog at the grocery store. I always get a carton of eggnog for my kids as they are crazy about it!

The inspiration for my Eggnog French Toast really stems from my love of eggs, Christmas and wanting to provide a spectacularly delicious option for our family breakfast. After all, it takes a simple classic recipe and really spices it up! You can go with your favourite type of eggs, whether that be liquid or shell, and really make this recipe your own!

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, eggnog and cinnamon until combined.

Heat a large greased frying pan on medium heat.

Cut each croissant in half and each individual croissant piece in half. Dip croissant in egg mixture.

Place each egg-dipped croissant in the frying pan and allow each side to become golden brown.

Once plated, sprinkle with powdered sugar and desired syrup!

Oh Yummmm, I too love eggnog, but I love that you used plain Croissants, I’m going to have to try that, something different instead of using just plain bread all the time!!
