Instant Pot Cinnamon Roll French Toast
To start the recipe, you will want to get together all your ingredients. I like to lay out all the ingredients on my kitchen island and put them away as I use them.
This is a great way to know what you have already used. It also acts like a recipe countdown, which I really like while I am baking!
To save time in this recipe, you will be using cinnamon swirl bread. You can find it at your local grocer.
I have to admit the smell that comes from these ingredients is Heavenly! I am crazy about the smell of cinnamon baking as well!
When it comes to using an instant pot, there are several brands to choose from. At one time, I had a Breville, which was great. Currently I own an Instant Pot brand.
There are many different sizes to choose from, so make sure to go with one that will fit all your cooking needs!
This recipe only takes 25 minutes in the instant pot. I can’t think of too many other dessert recipes that can be done so quickly!
I can see this recipe also being perfect for having afternoon tea! Nothing quite like a delicious dessert and tea!

Slice swirl bread into cubes, place in a large bowl. Set aside.
-
Spray a small round baking dish with non-stick baking spray. Set aside.

In small saucepan, heat milk and 1/4 cup butter over medium heat. Stir until butter is melted and milk is hot. Remove from the heat.

In small bowl, mix granulated sugar, cinnamon, salt and eggs until well blended. Stir in milk mixture.

Prepare your Instant Pot by adding a 1/2 cup of water. Add your trivet to your Instant Pot.
-
Place your baking dish in your pot on top of the trivet. Set the High Pressure to high for timer for 25 minutes.

When timer goes off, turn the steam release valve to “venting”. Let sit for 10 minutes. This allows the french toast to settle and firm up.

Place a large plate over the baking dish and carefully flip it over. Lift the baking dish away from the french toast.

A small, round baking dish that fits inside works. My first thought is a small cake pan, but there are other options.

Morning! I just mad this casserole and it smells wonderful but it came out very wet. Am I not to put all the liquid in the baking pan? Also in your photo you show three eggs whereas in the recipe it calls for two.
